On the 'Sunnyside' of the Street

March 30, 2015

Our location is secured and we are now preparing to open our doors. We have been asked many times why we chose Sunnyside Mall so we wanted to write this blog about our decision.

We have been working with a real estate agent for about six months to find the perfect place for our first Made in the Maritimes store. This is a huge investment for us with no expense spared to design and create a stunning store that will showcase our suppliers' high-quality items. We looked at every possible area in Halifax, including: Barrington Street, Dartmouth, Larry Uteck and finally Bedford. We're so happy we made the decision to join Sunnyside Mall.

We wanted a location where customers have easy access to parking and can visit the store with ease, especially during winter. Sunnyside Mall has free heated underground parking which means you don't have to worry about icy sidewalks to visit us. The mall is accessible to all with ample parking and easy access for customers with mobility concerns.

We wanted to be in an area with up-market tenants to showcase the quality of products our suppliers make. Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique only sells high-quality artisan produced items so joining a mall that only works with high-quality tenants was the right decision.

Sunnyside Mall is shifting their focus to a boutique style shopping experience and we love the atmosphere they are creating. Well known brands in the mall include Pete's Frootique, Turbine by Lisa Drader-Murphy, Statement Furniture, World Tea House, The Middle Spoon, Il Mercato, Liquid Gold, The Body Shop, The Running Room, All Dressed Up, Cristall Wine Merchants, Indigo Spirit, Limoncello, Bib 'n Tucker, Freak Lunchbox, Mark's Work Warehouse, and of course, Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique. We are honoured to become part of the Sunnyside family.
