Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique

Great Skill and Creativity in the Canadian Maritimes

With the end of January drawing near, we are putting plans in place to select the items that will make up the inaugural product line of Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique.

When Joel posted his blog last week, we were nearing 400 supplier submissions; we have now surpassed 400 supplier applications expressing interest in supplying our shop with their products and the applications continue to come in.  These supplier products come from a broad range of categories which is fantastic as it will allow us to offer you a unique variety.

Based on submissions we have received, there is a breadth of creativity, skill and expertise across the Maritime Provinces and we are delighted to be able to bring the best of these under one roof.  The unfortunate part is that we won’t be able to have items from all supplier submissions in the early stages as we will not have a space large enough, but we do plan to keep the product line fresh so consumers are offered a unique experience.

As mentioned above, we are delighted to be able to bring together quality Maritime Artisan products under one roof.  Each artisan is an entrepreneur doing something they love. We want to encourage all artisans to continue doing what they love and we will do all that we can to give these items increased exposure to a larger market.

We are here to support the longevity and growth of local artisans and to encourage support of our local entrepreneurs. We at Made in the Maritimes can support our Maritime entrepreneurs by providing an avenue for increased product exposure, but most importantly, it is the consumer who must uphold this support by buying local and encouraging others to buy local.
